Michael Kors and Gwyneth Paltrow Team Up

Michael KorsMichael Kors fans have cause for celebration this holiday. The American designer has teamed up with Academy Award-winning actress — and our 2014 AXESS Cover Girl — Gwyneth Paltrow to produce a specially-designed capsule collection for her burgeoning lifestyle brand Goop.

Paltrow says she first approached Kors about her desire to reimagine some of her favorite, iconic MK pieces for her site over the summer. The resulting 18-piece collection, currently available for sale on her website, includes luxe, modernized takes on more traditional capes, peacoats, peplum sweaters and accessories.

 One piece, a $2,595 minimalist cashmere cape, is already sold out. Of the original cape, Paltrow writes on her site that “Funnily enough, I ran into Michael on a flight where he noticed I was rocking his cape, probably in a less chic manner than he would have liked, my six month old daughter and I lay wrapped in it all the way to England.”

While the #MKxgoop is exclusive to Paltrow’s website, Kors fans can check out the traditional styles that inspired the capsule collection in the Michael Kors boutiques aboard the Celebrity Silhouette and the Celebrity Reflection.
