Announcing: New ‘Suite Class’ Experience and ‘Celebration of the Century’

Suite ClassWe’re only two months into 2014, but Celebrity Cruises already has big plans for 2015.

The modern luxury cruise line recently announced that starting in April 2015, guest will be able to engage in Celebrity’s new “Suite Class” experience on all ships. New exotic destinations include Manila and Boracay, Philippines; Bandar Seri Begawan (Muara), Brunei; and Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar. • We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the more complete suite offerings!

      • We’re wine drinkers. Hope Michael’s Club offers wine just .

  1. I am booked in sky suite on Summit in April 11 2015 will this include the dedicated dining room and where will it be?

    • Sky Suites will be entitled to dedicated dining. We have yet to announce where onboard that will be located. Here is a little more information on what the offering will be:

Private dining – A dedicated private restaurant reserved exclusively for all Suite Class guests will be available morning, noon and night. Each meal will feature unique menus that offer sumptuous dishes not available anywhere else onboard. Guests can truly immerse themselves in the local culture with specially crafted menus inspired by the local destination, and enjoy the world’s best ingredients. Memorable and inspiring dishes will be served, from locally caught seafood, to the freshest pasta. The Suite Class chef can provide a tailor-made experience to suite guests and prepare a dish to their liking, and the Cellar Master – Celebrity’s head sommelier – will select from more than 450 wines to provide the perfect pairing.

      • Woo Hoo my first suite experience is going to be amazing! Thanks, Celebrity!

    • We are proud that of our commitment to service, and glad that our reputation is for the service we strive every day to achieve.

  2. We are booked in a Royal Suite on Solstice in April of 2015 — will all “Suite Experience” benefits apply to this booking? Many thanks.

  3. We are booked on a sky suite (SS1) for the March 29 2014 Century Pacific Coast sailing. Will there be any special “End of The Century” amenities associated with that one? We will really miss the Century!

    • Century looks beautiful after her recent dry dock, and we will miss Century quite a bit as well. The details of farewell benefits have not been announced firmly, so stay tuned!

  4. Hi woսld you mind letting me kոow which web hοst you’re
utilizіng? І’veloaded your blog іn 3 completely different
internet browsers ɑnd I mսst say thiѕ blog loads a lot quicker then
most. Can you suggest a gooԀ internet hosting provider at a hօnest
priϲe? Thanks a lot, I aρpreciatе it!

    • Our blog is hosted by WordPress Enterprise! We will pass along your kudos.

  5. We are elite plus travelers. One of the most beautiful bars is now closed to the concierge class. We do not like going to the Sky Lounge as it doesn’t compare to the intimacy of MC. I am surprise you are turning over such a wonderful space for so few.

    • Thanks for taking the time to tell us how you feel about the changes. It is always hard to make venue changes onboard as we are limited to a finite amount of space. We have passed your thoughts along to the appropriate teams here at Port of Miami.

As a Catalyst reader, I will share with you some news that we haven’t released too widely yet. A number of our guests favorite features currently found Michael’s Club will be moved to Cellar Masters. Maybe you will feel just as home at this venue as you do at Michael’s Club — you will have to let us know!

      • We will be elite plus cruisers after our July cruise. I’m not concerned about the loss of Michaels Club since we usually sail in suites. And, I understand the move of the beverages from Michaels Club to Cellar Masters. What concerns us is whether or not Cellar Masters will continue to offer wine since that is always our beverage of choice.

  6. Why the decision to leave Sky Suites out of the ability to use the VIP lounge? They are after all still suites. It’s like saying that *those* suites aren’t as important as the others…..

Also, will suite guests lose the ability to dine in Blu on a space available basis? We do enjoy Blu over the MDR for it’s quieter atmosphere, as well as being able to order Escargot, large shrimp cocktails, etc every night versus only on one night. If so (that suite guests will no longer be able to dine in Blu) will the new dining room at least offer the same to guests?

    • NP:

We certainly don’t feel as Sky Suites are less than, the benefits however are tiered based on price-point. As far as the hush-hush benefit of Blu standby seating (you’re an insider in the know!) we have not announced any changes to this policy.

We look forward to hearing more feedback from you!

      BJ

  7. Traveling next week on the Century. I have booked a Sky Suite on Deck 12. I want to know whether there are lounges at the Cruise ship terminal in San Pedro for suite passengers. Notwithstanding the fact that after paying for my cruise you dropped the price an additional $600.00 and, for the excess price I paid, I have an expectation that my 8 year-old special needs child will be able to see the bridge without having to fork yet more money just to see the bridge. I have heard that there are tours but these come at a steep price and not necessarily geared towards children. I don’t think that my child will be benefit from a fancy lunch with wine, neither do I. How can we get this arranged without having to fork more money specially after I overpaid $600.00 for the same suites the week before.

    • Unfortunately we don’t have the answers you are looking for as the authors of Catalyst. We will forward your questions to the appropriate team and ask them to reach out to you directly at your email address beginning with WAARCE

    • Are their any amenities or exclusive areas of the ship for suite passengers?

    • Make sure to sail AquaClass on any ship, as Blu is the restaurant reserved exclusively for AquaClass guests each breakfast and dinner.

      • Booked a suite on the Celebrity Century for the Pacific Coast Cruise from April 12 to 19 but it didn’t have the feel of a suite most like a budget motel. The furniture was old, tired and stained. The marble on the boudoir was discolored. The staff assigned to our cabin was great but the food served at the Island Cafe was not good. The MDR was hit and miss. There was no buffets to speak off, mostly cafeteria like food throughout the trip. After spending close to $7000.00 on this cruise I was expecting a more luxurious feel. It will good to know how much of an improvement this new class of service means for those of us who travel in the upper end of things. I certainly didn’t get value for my money. .

      • Guillermo:

We are so sorry to hear that you feel this way. I personally love Century and will miss her, but as an older ship in the fleet design aesthetic has certainly evolved in the newer ship classes. I have sent your comments to the appropriate team, and you should hear from them shortly.

  8. Hi there,

We are booked into a royal suite on the Solstice for the Hawaii to Sydney cruise in October 2014. Which aspects of the ‘suite life’ are likely to be up and running? Just finished a cruise on the Summit (Penthouse) and really enjoyed the company, Concierge, entertainment and atmosphere in Michaels Club which had just been introduced.

    • So glad you have enjoyed! All of the benefits are currently up an running.

  9. As a loyal customer of celebrity having had many cruises in concierge and veranda staterooms enjoying Michael’s club on various cruises I now find this will no longer be available on our next cruise. The reason we don’t sail with Cunard is I dislike the way in which people are classified. I don’t look down on people in inside staterooms or up to people in suites, my pound is as good as the next mans but if this is the way celebrity is going I will look to another cruise line in future? Celebrity you are not rewarding your loyal guests and I think you have shot yourself in the foot with this one.

    • We certainly don’t look down on any guest that sails on our ships either, in fact we feel each category of stateroom is an opportunity for plan the vacation that best fits their needs. Michael’s Club is a great venue indeed, and as we work to make our suite options the best option for guests that choose to sail in those staterooms these changes were made. Michael’s Club is available to Suite guests, outside of Sky Suites, and Zenith-level Captain’s Club Members.

  10. Weare booked into a royal suite on the solstice in October. Will the new suite restaurant be up and running.
